MARYVILLE, MO (2011-10-28)
Even though bats are a common cultural reference around Halloween, they are also common year around in the skies of Maryville.
Northwest Missouri State has several Bat Houses on campus, similar to bird houses but aimed at giving the brown bat population a boost. Health and Safety manager on campus Scott Walk says another reason for the houses is to force them out of making homes in the top floor of the Administration Building.
Walk adds another reason for having the bat houses, they are eating mosquitoes and flies around the campus.© Copyright, KXCV
