SAVANNAH, MO (2011-10-11)
The Savannah City Council has voted to enact fines for parking violations on city streets and right-of ways.
Savannah Police chief David Vincent says previous city ordinance allowed RV's to be parked in the street but not in off-street parking. The new law clarifies the regulations. At its recent meeting the council also passed an ordinance that now requires any new or replacement sewer line have a backflow protection device installed as well. And the council approved city employees using the Clasbey Center rent-free once per year, a change from previous policy of eliminating all free use.
