MARYVILLE, MO (2011-10-10)
A Princeton native and her husband are establishing an endowment at the university in Maryville.
Dick and Phyllis Leet met back in the '40's at a chemistry lab at Northwest Missouri State. Dick went on to build a successful career at Amoco Oil Corporation, retiring in 1991. Now, Northwest president Dr. John Jasinski says the Leets are giving a gift of more than a hundred thousand dollars to the university to help upgrade the Horace Mann Lab School on campus.
The Horace Mann Lab School serves 111 students in kindergarten through 6th grade and serves as a training opportunity for 160 future teachers.© Copyright, KXCV
