The city of Blockton Iowa is getting a $50,000 grant as part of a USDA economic development program.

The money will help purchase a fire truck, which will compliment the one existing pumper truck in Blockton that covers a 70 square mile area around Taylor county. The money is part of a 46 million dollar package the USDA is giving to projects in 33 states.
