MARYVILLE, MO (2010-10-05) An upgrade to a major Maryville Street is now underway.
Crews started work on West 16th Street yesterday. That's the route that runs through several residential areas just north of the university over to the community center and Donaldson West Side Park. A new surface, curbing, and drainage tubes will be installed to eliminate ditches on both sides. City manager Matt LaCurf says it will be completed in 2 phases. The final portion of 16th will start in the Spring and should be completed by May. Drivers through 16th Street should watch for detour signs.
