MARYVILLE, MO (2010-10-27) There is still no decision on the future of the empty space in Maryville's downtown district created by the recent razing of buildings.
Two buildings owned by First United Methodist Church bordering first street were demolished because corners of the buildings were beginning to buckle. Rick Bradley is the chair of the trustees committee at the Church. He says the congregation has been most concerned with correcting the safety and still hasn't made a firm decision with what to do with the lot. Bradley says this upcoming Spring the bare lot will get more dirt and sod to prevent erosion.
