PATTONSBURG, MO (2010-10-27) The three inmates who escaped from a northwest Missouri jail are back in custody.
A Daviess County Sheriff's Depatment secretary confirms Nicholas McCleary was arrested around noon yesterday northwest of Pattonsburg. She says he was found after authorities got a tip about somebody suspicious walking along a road. Convicted murderer Carlos Sarmiento and Timothy Baudor were tracked down nearby and arrested shortly after 4 yesterday afternoon. The men escaped Sunday night from the Daviess/Dekalb County jail by crawling under a fence, leading authorities to go door to door warning residents. McCleary was first convicted of property damage and a previous jail escape. Two women have been charged as accessories in helping the three escape.
