MARYVILLE, MO (2010-10-04) The man heading up Missouri's college and university system is speaking in Maryville this afternoon.

Dr. David Russell is the interim commissioner of higher education for the state's coordinating board the oversight agency for the schools. Russell is expected to address funding and other issues facing the state's colleges, as well as their impact on families seeking higher education. Northwest Missouri State University president Dr. John Jasinski says it's the latest in a string of high profile leaders visiting the Maryville campus which he says is important. The community forum with Dr. Russell is set for this afternoon at 3:15 in the Tower View Room that's on the top floor of the Student Union on the Northwest campus.
