CHILLICOTHE, MO (2010-10-15) A call on shoplifting allegedly uncovers more serious crimes in Chillicothe.

The police say they caught 24 year old Jared Hartman and 26 year old Ron Carter possessing stolen property. But inside their vehicle investigators say they found cocaine and methamphetamine as well. As the arrests were being made, police say Hartman broke free and started to fun. A short foot pursuit followed, and he and Carter were both taken to the Livingston County jail for felony possession of controlled substances.
