TRENTON, MO (2009-10-05) Trenton is working with a developer to create new Senior Housing Project.
The council passed a resolution at the last meeting to support "Cardinal Developer" in buying the old Adams Middle School. Cardinal is applying for State Tax Credits to offset the cost of the project. Trenton City Manager Kerry Sampson says 35 senior housing units are planned at the old school, which he says is just the beginning of the need in Trenton. The old middle school is about 85 years old and if the financing comes through, Sampson says it could be 2011 before the Housing Project is complete.
