MARYVILLE, MO (2009-10-06) It's Official: Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville has set a new all-time record for enrollment.

University officials had expected the official number of students to reach 7,000, they surpassed that by 76 more. Northwest's dean of enrollment Bev Schenkel says 74% are Missouri residents but increased recruitment efforts have been happening in Illinois and Internationally. She says the focus is not just recruiting, but retention. Schenkel predicts the undergraduate market will remain strong next year too.
