Mound City Update

Wayman

MOUND CITY, MO (2009-10-15) The Mound City Police Department has been awarded a grant to catch violators on tape.

At the last board meeting chief planning accepted a grant certificate of $3,075. That money will buy a car video camera for the Mound City Police Force. Also at the meeting board members agreed to raise water and sewer rates, saying it's better to raise them a little each year rather than wait and have a huge hike all at once. Mound City residents using an average of 5,000 gallons a month will see a 4% jump in their water bill. For the sewer costs, a base charge of $5.40 per month was established, plus $3.40 per 1,000 gallons. The new water and sewer rates in Mound City go into effect January 1st.
