Lager on DNR

Wayman

SAVANNAH, MO (2009-10-19) Governor Jay Nixon may be re-instating the head of the State's Department of Natural Resources, but that's not sitting well with Savannah Senator Brad Lager.

Lager heads up the Senate's Committee looking into the delayed report of E-Coli bacteria found at lake of the Ozarks. DNR director Mark Templeton will get his job back after being suspended; a subordinate of his will not. Senator Lager says Templeton's unpaid leave for 2 weeks was not the right punishment. Lager has said publicly the Senate's attempts to find out why the E-Coli report was delayed for almost a month have been met with an "Organized Cover-up" to get that information.
