SAVANNAH, MO (2009-10-26) With Missouri Tax Revenues 10% down this quarter and Missouri's budget picture looking more dire, Northwest Missouri's senator is investigating if removing tax credits could be a solution.
Savannah senator Brad Lager serves on statehouse's joint committee on tax policy, which is trying to weigh which State tax credits payoff economically. Lager says the State is loosing out on millions because of tax credits. Lager says the intent is not to raise taxes, just to make sure tax credits and sales tax exemptions are fiscally responsible.
