BARNARD, MO (2009-10-01) The City of Barnard and the new Nodaway Humane Society are teaming up.
The reason, to provide animal control to residents. In September, members of Barnard's board of alderman signed an agreement with the NNHS to periodically patrol the area for stray animals and monitor for possible cases of animal abuse or neglect. NNHS shelter manager Cindy Nelson says the agreement will provide a patrol for such incident's. Barnard joins Maryville, Burlington Junction, Hopkins and Pickering as towns that have animal control agreements with the new Nodaway Human Society.
