Hiawatha City Commission Meeting

HIAWATHA CITY, KS (2009-10-07) During the Hiawatha City commission meeting members discussed important issues for their community.

The budget amendments for publication were approved and a date was set for the public hearing on those amendments. The commission also authorized the mayor to sign an agreement with lowenthal, Webb and Odermann to perform the 2009 audit. City clerk Vivian constable says one item on the agenda still up in the air is talk of the city using an asphalt zipper. Constable adds the commission also considered bids for the sewer main installation in the 400 block of South 3rd street.
