Brownville Closure

BROWNVILLE, NE (2009-10-21) The first weekend closure of the Brownville bridge is announced.

The main artery into Brownville is being worked on by both the Missouri Department of Transportation and Nebraska Department of roads. Both agencies say the Brownville bridge will close down at 6 in the evening on Friday, November 6th and be closed through Monday morning, November 9th. Crews will be removing and replacing the existing steel plates beneath the bridge for strengthening. And a second closure is set for the weekend of November 20th, weather permitting.
