MARYVILLE, MO (2008-10-20) With the presidential race neck-in-neck and conventional wisdom saying undecided's could determine the outcome, voter registration is being scrutinized this year.

In our region, our colleges and university students have been busy urging their peers to register to vote.

Hundreds of the younger voters at Northwest Missouri State University changed their addresses to register locally.

Student vote volunteer Jason Romano spent most of the last month gathering voter registration cards on the campus.

He says his organization got just less than a thousand voters registered in Nodaway County.
