CHILLICOTHE, MO (2008-10-16) A grass-roots project is being considered for promoting Chillicothe's historic square.

Called the "informational station project", the plan is to build a kiosk near downtown to promote upcoming community events.

City manager Dean Brookshire says it's the brainchild of the chamber of commerce and the "leadership chillicothe" 2008 class… and says the kiosk will spread the word about great things happening in Chillicothe.

Right now organizers are asking sponsors to raise money for the project.
