MARYVILLE, MO (2008-11-24) After nearly half a year, Maryville's main north-south trafficway is now open.

Main street upgrades started in July… and the main artery re-opened during rush hour Friday evening.

The improvements include a new concrete base running several blocks, plus brand new curbs and sidewalks.

City manager Matt LeCerf says the long process was necessary to avoid a pot-holed disaster that was created last winter.

LaCerf adds striping the center lines still needs to be done but that can wait until the warmer spring construction season.
