A week long celebration will educate people on healthy options, alternatives and life choices within our daily routines.
Schools from Maryville, along with Albany and Worth County will be participating in National Rural Health Day. Senior Marketing Manager for Northwest Medical Center, Trisha Kellogg, says Northwest Missouri chose to honor the holiday with a walking campaign.
Schools are currently working to organize a time to participate in the "stop, drop, and walk campaign." Kellogg says it can be convenient with your schedule, as long as you get out and walk.National Rural Health Day is being celebrated all week.
