November is National Diabetes Month.
It's a month designed to keep citizens aware of the various dangers and risks of attaining and having Diabetes. St. Francis Hospital Diabetes Educator Deborah Hull, says the forms of diabetes, type 1 and type 2, are distinct and should be understood by the public.
Hulls says anyone over the age of 45 should be screened for Diabetes every 3 years, while those under 45 with risk factors such as being overweight, having high blood pressure, or high cholesterol should consider being screened every few years to reduce the risk of developing Diabetes.© Copyright, KXCV
