Last winter Missouri was blasted by a storm that left some areas buried in up to two feet of snow, that's why this week emergency management officials are recommending everyone be prepared.

On November 16th Missouri will hold "Winter Weather Awareness Day" encouraging residents and families to check there emergency plans and kits. Senior meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill Mike July says to keep on forecasts to stay in front of any serve weather.
