The city of Maryville and university have come up with a unique way to partner.

A university student is now sitting on the city council as a non-voting liaison. Collin DeBuysere is in that role to help communications between the city and the student constituents. He says a survey is ongoing to determine what issues he will represent.

The survey results are expected next month. You can hear more from both the Collin and the city manager during our morning conversation, that's at 11 O'clock this morning.
