A Jamesport, Missouri teenager received minor injuries after an auto accident about 15 miles northwest of Chillicothe.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 17 year old Bailey K. Souders was driving a 2005 Dodge Caravan northbound on Route A when she drove off the east side of the roadway to avoid hitting a deer. The car went through an empty field before stopping in a private driveway. The Missouri Highway Patrol says Souders was not wearing a seatbelt and was treated for minor injuries at Wright Memorial Hospital.
