Holt Burn Ban

Effective today, a burn ban is in effect for all of Holt county.

The county commissioners approved the outdoor burning based on the dry conditions, and a number of fire calls the past several days. County officials say the burn ban in Holt county will remain in place until there is significant precipitation, it remains to be seen if tomorrow's forecast will be enough to ease burn conditions. Exceptions to outdoor burning will be considered on a case-by-case basis by getting written permission from your local fire department.
