MARYVILLE, MO (2011-11-01)
A partnership with the university in Maryville and a local farm implement dealer is expanding cutting edge AG technology.
Northwest implement is using RTK system to provide GPS planting data to farmers across northwest Missouri, letting them track seeds and fertilizer down to the square inch. The technology is now on the KXCV radio broadcast tower north of Maryville, and the partnership includes another university department, the Agriculture Department. Dr. Jamie Patton teaches there and says it will be a great teaching tool for future producers at the university.
