MARYVILLE, MO (2011-11-07)
America's farm policy might be decided by the congressional super committee aimed at cutting the deficit instead of elected officials.
Missouri senator Roy Blunt hopes it won't be a one-sided decision. The farm bill is currently being re-written but its planned cost could be meaningless if the super committee targets it for funding cuts. Blunt points out many of the nutrition programs contained in the farm bill could be cut depending on the committee's decision.
