Eagle Days

Farwell

ST. JOSEPH, MO (2011-11-30)

Regional residents can attend "Eagle Days" at Squaw Creek this weekend.

Squaw Creek is the national wildlife refuge operated by the Missouri Department of Conservation. Currently the refuge boasts nearly 300,000 snow geese and about 50 bald eagles. Refuge Park ranger Charles Marshall says this a great time for the community to learn about bald eagle awareness.

The 33rd Annual "Eagle Days" runs this Saturday from 9 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon and begins Sunday morning at 11 until 2 in the afternoon. Squaw Creek's located at Mound City, just 30 miles north of St. Joseph.
