MARYVILLE, MO (2011-11-17)
Missouri senator Blunt is joining his colleague senator McCaskill in balancing funding for flood protection along the Missouri River.
Speaking on the senate floor, Blunt introduced a measure that would cut buying private land along the river from 72 million dollars down to 22 million. Blunt says that will put more money in the Corp's levee protection budget.
There's no word on when the blunt and McCaskill amendments will be voted on by the senate.© Copyright, KXCV
