Swank Death Investigation

LINN COUNTY, MO (2010-11-02) A suspect from Linn County has been arrested and charged with murder in the death of a 19 year old Chillicothe man originally thought to be an accidental drug overdose.

The body of Travis Swank was found in his apartment in the 2 hundred block of Walnut Street in Chillicothe on September 26th. An autopsy found possibly dangerous levels of a specific prescription drug in his system. This led authorities to track down the alleged seller in Linn County. Now, Shannon Stubbs has been arrested and charged with second degree murder as well as distribution of a controlled substance. Stubbs is being held in the Livingston County Jail on a quarter million dollar bond.
