MARYVILLE, MO (2010-11-22) A Maryville high senior has been nominated for a state wide scholarship with the Missouri School Boards' Association.

Kristen Thacker will represent Maryville R-2 Schools at the regional level for the scholarship. The 17 regional winners are chosen for their academic and out of classroom experiences, as well as the student's need and leadership abilities. One state-wide winner will then be chosen for the $1,500 scholarship and recognized at the state-wide MSBA convention in April. Thacker is a member of the national honor society and is the president of FFA at Maryville high.
