MARYVILLE, MO (2010-11-29) Engineers are working through the bids for completing Maryville's downtown district facelift.
The second and third phases of new streetscaping are going to be on the intersections of 3rd and Main and 4th and Main. New sidewalks and crosswalks are planned. Bids for this project have been taken, but engineers are still reviewing them, matching them with the multiple funding sources coming in for the project. Randy Mendenhall works for Snyder and Associates engineering and says construction should start early next year. Mendenhall expects the engineer's recommendation for the winning bid will go to the Maryville city council for approval sometime next month.
