WESTON, MO (2010-11-05) Flags across Missouri will be flying at half staff tomorrow to honor a northwest Missouri soldier killed in action.
34 year old sergeant first class Charles Sadell of Weston was a soldier in the US Army serving in Afghanistan. He died on October 24th from injuries he sustained back on the 5th of October. Sergeant Sadell had more than 40 awards and decorations in his service to our country, including the purple heart and 2 bronze star medals. He previously served in Kosovo and Iraq. A Columbia Missouri native, he, his wife, and their two sons have lived in Weston since 2007. Governor Nixon has ordered all flags to fly at half staff this Saturday as well as all falgs in Platte County from Sunday through the rest of next week.
