NODAWAY COUNTY, MO (2010-11-23) 11 suspects are arrested in a second major drug sweep originating in Nodaway County and crossing state lines.
It is spearheaded by the Nodaway County Sheriff's Department and is targeting people allegedly buying ingredients to make methamphetamine arresting them before the labs are even discovered. Nodaway County Sheriff Department captain David Glidden says catching ingredients buyers helps the entire community. Arrested are three Maryville residents, Heather and Michael Vinzant and Ashley Dougherty. From Burlington Juction, John Boyd and Lucas Greever are in custody. Iowa residents arrested are Red Oak's Michael Webster, Robert Otis, Glen Otis, and Cathy Otis. Tina Dornbusch of Taylor County Iowa is also in jail as well as Meri Kling of Carbon Iowa. Three more suspects named in arrest warrants are still at alrge, and the Sheriff's Office says its drug sweeps will continue.
