MARYVILLE, MO (2010-11-04) An older Maryville worker has been named the best in the state within the "Experience Works" program.
That is the organization that places residents over 55 in work positions with various companies to get training and a potential job. Earlier this week Joe Baker was recognized as the state of Missouri's "Participant Champion" for 2010. Baker was placed two years ago through experience works at St. Francis hospital in Maryville. He is now a full-time employee. Baker says the experience has enriched his life. Baker was placed through the "Experience Works" office in St. Joseph. Throughout the state more than a thousand older workers are providing service through the program.
