County Deer Totals

HARRISON COUNTY, MO (2010-11-16) Thousands of deer were harvested in our listening area this past weekend, the opening of firearms deer season in Missouri.

It looks like Harrison County leads the list on the number of deer taken 1289. In our region Nodaway came in second with 1186 deer harvested. Livingston County had 866 and Buchanan recorded 374 deer. Other counties and the number of deer killed Saturday and Sunday include Daviess with 1100, Linn at 1121, Sullivan at 1146, Mercer at 891 and Grundy with 728. In the state nearly 98,000 deer were harvested on Saturday and Sunday.
