Child Learning Workshop

MARYVILLE, MO (2010-11-29) Parents, teachers, librarians, anyone involved with teaching young children, are invited to a workshop tomorrow in Maryville.

Called "Early Literacy Activities to Add to Your Repertoire" two experts will be sharing resources. A professional researcher at the university library and the librarian at Horace Mann Early Child Care and Education Lab will focus on teaching kids ATA pre-literacy level through web resources. Hands-On time to explore and create materials will also be part of tomorrow's workshop. The public is invited to either of the two sessions. One will be from 3 to 5 tomorrow afternoon. The other from 6 to 8 tomorrow night. Both will be on the second floor of the Owens Library on the Northwest campus in Maryville.
