Burn Advisory

Ludwig

MARYVILLE, MO (2010-11-08) The Office of the State Fire Marshal and the National Weather Service are urging Missouri residents to use extra caution when burning in the open.

Missouri State Fire Marshal Randy Cole explains the conditions are nearly perfect for a wild fire. Cole urges people to take the following precautions: Check for local burn bans or restriction, keep a minimum of 75 feet from all buildings, never use any flammable liquids to start the fire, never leave a fire unattended, always have fire extinguishment material close at hand and do not delay calling for help if the fire gets out of control. The State Fire Marshall's burn advisory will alst until we get more moisture and conditions improve.
