MARYVILLE, MO (2009-11-09) It's a second chance in Maryville to give your input on a no-smoking proposal in the City.
The council is holding a public forum to let citizens discuss a grass-roots proposal to ban smoking in all workplaces within Maryville. The idea is to cut down on second-hand smoke for employees. Critics argue it could hurt business. City manager Matt LaCurf says even though a hearing was held earlier, tonight's a chance to get even more input from those possibly effected. The public hearing will start at 6 and it's actually in the County's new administration office on the North East side of the courthouse square. The council will then adjourn to City Hall at 7 for the rest of the council meeting.
