ST. JOSEPH, MO. (2009-11-30) The Northwest Missouri State University St. Joseph center will display artwork created by Savannah high school studetns.
The celebrating student art reception is open to the public and is a free event. Director Melody Hubbard says the Savannah high school students were picked for their beautiful artwork displayed in a previous show she attended. The 3D, poetry based artwork that will be displayed by the students was inspired from poetry they were learning about in an English class. This reception is to recognize the aspects of what the students are doing and the Northwest St. Joseph center is suited just for that. The reception will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 and will feature refreshments and a chance to view more than 50 works created by 19 high school students.
