MARYVILLE, MO (2009-11-18) A new round of H1N1 vaccines will be available in Nodaway County this weekend.
The Nodaway County health department has received about 18,000 doses of the vaccine and will hold an immunization clinic this Saturday. Health department administrator Della Rhoades says both the nasal mist and injection vaccinations will be available at the clinic. She adds even though the panic stemming from H1N1 seems to be fading, it's still very important for high risk individuals to get vaccinated. Rhoades says health officials are concerned that another wave of H1N1 influenza may occur in late February or early March. The Nodaway County health department's H1N1 immunization clinic runs this Saturday from 9 in the morning until noon at their office on North Main street in Maryville. The H1N1 vaccine will also be available at clinics scheduled for November 23rd and 30th, as well as December 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th.
