MARYVILLE, MO (2009-11-03) It's Election Day in Missouri, but not for everyone.
In fact, just a handfull of Counties in our listening area have issues on the ballot mainly school bond issues. Those Counties include Atchison, Buchanan, Harrison, Grundy, Holt, and Linn Counties. One of the larger bond questions is in Atchison County Missouri, where voters will decide on a 3.8 million dollar bond for a new high school building. Trenton R-9 is asking for 4 million in bonds for new school facilities. In Buchanan County the St. Joseph school district is asking for a tax levy increase of $0.63 for the next 5 years. Harrison County voters will tackle a water expansion plan that calls for the sale of 6 million dollars in bonds. And Linn County voters are deciding a 1.75 million dollar bond issue for new school facilities. Voting runs from 7 this morning through 7 tonight.
