MARYVILLE, MO (2009-11-18) Northwest Missouri State's president views the agreement with the governor on tuition costs as a pro-active step for the State's Colleges and University's.
Dr. John Jasinski was one of 13 presidents of Missouri's 4-year institutions who've agreed to freeze tuition next fiscal year for in-State undergrads, if the State doesn't cut more than 5.2% of higher education's budget. In a statement to Northwest staff, Jasinski says it's a necessary agreement in these tough budget times. The governor's agreement with Northwest and Missouri Western in St. Joseph must still be approved by the general assembly.
