HOLT COUNTY, MO. (2009-11-04) Voters split on the issues in Holt County.

Hold County residents struck down a proposed tax levy increase and bond issue for the Mound City R-2 school district last night. But they approved a County-wide sales tax. The sales tax will be used to upgrade and maintain operation of the Holt County emergency telephone service. Voters passed the County-wide sales tax with 58% of the vote.
