MARYVILLE, MO (2009-11-04) While the Country waits on a healthcare vote, families in our region still have loved ones in Afghanistan.
Now, Missouri's senior senator is calling on the president to dedicate to a decision on the request to send more troops. Senator Kit Bond took to the floor yesterday and publically pleaded for Obama to quit stalling on his general's request for soldiers to win the war. Bond points out it will take time to get troops in place once numbers are decided on. US Military experts have publicly said we have less than 12 months before our efforts in Afghanistan could be irreversibly damaged.
