MARYVILLE, MO (2008-10-13) Despite the global economic crisis and confusion of the political season, Nodaway Countians appear to be digging deep for a good cause.

The United Way campaign already has raised $40,000 - right at 40% of its goal.

The organization is a clearinghouse for accepting donations then funding a number of agencies and projects throughout Nodaway County.

The campaign has three weeks left in the 2008-2009 fund drive.
