MARYVILLE, MO (2008-11-17) A Nodaway county landmark is getting some much needed repair.
Construction crews continue their work on the Nodaway county courthouse.
They're repairing a number of problems in the 126 year old building.
One of the more visible phases is the bell tower- caulking and replacing the metal floor beneath the bell.
Presiding commissioner Joe Baumli says it's very much needed.
The first phase of the courthouse renovations will cost about $134,000.
The Missouri Heritage Grant is giving the project $90,000.
The contractor hopes to have the first phase of the bell tower finished in early spring.
