Union Electric customers will be seeing a charge on their bills rise to almost double what it is now.
State regulators have approved an increase to the fuel and purchased power adjustment charge. It's estimated the average union electric residential customer with that charge pays about $1.74. That will now rise to $3.17 a month. The new rate will take effect starting in June.
