That Championship Season

The Southwest Iowa Theatre Group will be staging a performance of "That Championship Season" this weekend at the Rose Garden stage in Shenandoah.

The play is about four men who won the national championship in 1952 and every year they have a reunion at the coaches house, this particular year all of the players have problems and difficulties in their lives that they are trying to work through. Director Nick Johanson says the play may not be suitable for all audiences and it is something different than what they have never done before.

Opening night for "That Championship Season" will be this Friday at 7:30, there will also be a performance Saturday evening at 7:30 and a Sunday matinee at 2.
